Detailed itinerary:
Day 01: Coimbatore Ooty
Arrive at Coimbatore airport/ railway station and depart for Ooty, a popular hill station in Tamil Nadu. Check in at the hotel and the evening free for shopping and other activities. Night stay at Ooty hotel.
Day 02: A Day in Ooty
Explore the beauty of Ooty on this day. Visit the Visit the Doddabeta Peak which is the highest peak of Ooty. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Gardens, built in 1847 and known for its variety of exotic plants and colorful flower beds. . Visit the famous Ooty Lake and enjoy a boat ride amidst the serene surroundings (own cost). Horse-back riding around the lake also is available (own cost). Back to hotel for dinner and overnight at Ooty.
Day 03: Ooty – Kodaikanal
Depart from Ooty and drive to Kodaikanal, another popular hill station in Tamil Nadu. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Western Ghats, witnessing the lush green landscapes and tea gardens. Reach Kodaikanal and check-in to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the charming town, taking a leisurely walk around the Kodaikanal Lake. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.
Day 04: Kodaikanal local
After morning breakfast proceed for a half day local tour of Kodaikanal, and spend the day exploring the natural beauty of Kodaikanal. Visit attractions like Coaker’s walk, Pillar Rock and Suicide point. Evening visit Kodai Lake and then return back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Kodaikanal – Rameswaram
After breakfast, depart from Kodaikanal and drive to Rameshwaram, a renowned pilgrimage site. In the evening visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, a significant Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return back to hotel and over night stay at Rameswaram.
Day 06 : Rameswaram – Madurai
After breakfast, drive to Madurai, a city known for its rich cultural heritage and ancient temples. Visit the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, a magnificent temple dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi. Also visit the temple art museum, Puthu Mandapam, Raya Gopuram etc. In the evening, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant local markets of Madurai. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 07: Departure
Morning enjoy breakfast and check out from the hotel and proceed to Madurai airport/ railway station for onward journey.
